Easy to hook up, and set up via the wifi feature. I was impressed by the picture quality. Not too sure about the night vision claims, but I haven't driven at night to check, just looking at clips recorded while the car is sitting in the driveway it doesn't look like much for the NV feature. Still pretty impressive for a fairly cheap car cam.
This has a solid sturdy build. The WiFi is a nice feature. Unfortunately, it has flaws. The video quality is horrible. My iPhone 6 records better video. The screen goes black and displays the time which is nice so you aren’t starting at the video while driving but date and time has to be set every time it’s powered up. The loop record feature didn’t work. I watched several videos on it online before purchase and they all recommended it so maybe I just got a bad one.
It's not true 4k recording if you actually look at the specs but it up-converts. Regardless, the image is crisp and nice. I've experienced that bug with the inaccurate time in the screen saver someone else mentioned; annoying but not a big deal. What does bother me are that for some reason, sometimes there are moments where the video playback doesn't play sound as if there was an issue with the mic. The other thing that bothers me is to connect to the dash cam with your phone its with an app BUT it's only if you enable the dash cams wifi which if you are streaming music you better make sure it's music you've downloaded to your phone and not just using the music that streams from the app because there will be a point that the music stops because basically you're data connection is only between your phone and the cam. This also affects navigation apps like waze where you'll see a message that it's searching for a network because your data is only enabled between your phone and the the cam. You still receive phone calls so that part isn't an issue but it screws up everything else that requires data while you're connected to the cam
