The performance on this Laptop is top notch and wonderful. Very simple and helpful set up for those who are not tech savvy. crystal clear image and speed is insanely fast. I believe the only downfalls is the cooling fans noise and the battery. The fan sounds like a blow dryer right in front of you when you are playing games. The battery drains pretty quickly.
The Y540 is a well built laptop and is not as heavy as other reviews might have suggested. The keyboard layout takes a bit to get use to, but the keys are well lit and feels good to the touch. You're going to want to add an another SSD to expand the storage capacity.
For the price $850 brand new after tax with these specs is unheard-of. Not sure if I got lucky with a sale. Can't find these specs unless your willing to shell out $1100 or more plus tax. Great value
