Sony did a great job with these earbuds. From the design to the case, it's amazing. The features that are included with the Sony headphones app are great. The noise cancelling feature is top notch and I use it for work all the time. You could also have ambient noise pump through the microphones if you need to hear certain things externally. One of my favorite features is being able to hold your finger on the touchpad to momentarily listen to external noise if you're going to have a quick conversation and you don't want to have to remove the earbuds. The sounds is amazing. We're talking Sony here. Listening to songs, you hear the separations of the highs, mids, and lows. There's plenty of bass if you're into that and you're able to crank it up in the Headphones app and play with the equalizer, which is very easy to use. Once paired with your phone, all you have to do is just pull the earbuds out of the case and you're good to go. In my week with this, I have yet to experience any connection issues at all. My main complaint is that these don't have the best fit in my ears. No matter which size eartips I use that came with the earbuds, they somehow manage to fall out occasionally. So, your mileage may vary when it comes to the fit of these earbuds. All in all, these are fantastic wireless earbuds. They have great sound, amazing noise cancellation, and really good battery life. An all around win.
So far, so good. I am interested in sound fidelity and Sony doesn't disappoint. Pairing is great with the Headphone app. Range is average. As for longevity of battery life, not as robust as I expected but this is the first couple of days. Travelling with the portable power unit is odd, as the shape of the bottom is round and needs stability. I'm getting a leather case to keep away scratches. The blue flashing bluetooth lights are annoying, but I am interested in SOUND. haven't notices any noise cancelling that makes a difference.
ANC -- main reason I bought it -- It works well for plane/car road noise ...although, I think the Bose ANC headphones that I have work a bit better ... but Sony is great for being wireless & small form factor. I've also replaced the tips with Comply, they add another layer of passive noise cancelling. Sound -- Very good. The app has EQ so you can customize your sound. Adaptive Control -- nice feature/option. It changes according to your surroundings. Latest firmware allows you to customize playback/volume control on the earphones. Unsure about voice transmission -- I got cut out a couple of times trying to call .. Another firmware update would potentially fix/enhance the voice calling. Bluetooth -- also got dropped off but reconnected quickly a few times -- still, shouldn't happen -- Maybe a firmware update would help. Battery life seems good. The charging case is a bit heavy/bulky.
