These lanterns are very bright, simple to use (pull open and they are lighted) and best of all: they use standard AA batteries. The battery compartment is easy to open and batteries pop right in. These lanterns and a block of AA batteries will serve you well in emergencies. They’re a good deal!

★★★★★ We have tornadoes in the summer, ice storms in the winter, always knocking out power. One of these lanterns will light a room. I personally don’t know how they can be this inexpensive. I just ordered 4 more for friends with storm shelters. The only thing I’d recommend, purchase some energizer lithium batteries as they will last and not leak. Low quality batteries will leak so if nothing else, tape the 3 batteries that came with it to the top of the box. We tend to forget things if not used. Best to remove batteries if you are not using the item frequently. Great product.
