User reviews
I use these Immersion Heaters for Waste water evaporation. They help speed up the process of evaporation in any dilute acid or base with a large amount of water. Such as a 55 gallon drum. They seem to stand up very well. I do not completely immerse them, only the glass part. They are a Value for the price. They are for Aquarium use, but can be adaptable to other situations, with discretion. Only use when Immersed in water type liquids.
It works ,but I can't believe it puts out 500 watts. I've had it on for at least 5 days turned all the way up and the best it can do is 71 degrees in a 105 gallon tank. Only once could I see any heat waves coming from it . Before this I had a 300 watt that lasted for at least 5 years . Eheim made in Germany. The 300 watt had no problem heating my aquarium and didn't need turned all the way up. You could see lots of heat waves coming from it. A 500 watt made in China should have heated better
Heated up quick looks good seems and feels like good quality awesome value, would definitely recommend to anyone. I will most likely be buying one more to replace a topfin. I bought the biggest one. It has those little squigglely heat lines all the way around the whole thing. I noticed a review saying 105 gallon tank wasnt heating up with the temp at max, make sure you have good circulation in the tank I have 135 in garage and it gets cold out there I notice when I turn my circulation fan off for feeding all the heaters will turn off within under a minute. So you really want to make sure you have good water movement especially in like 6ft long and you'll notice the temperature will get to be where you want it. Hope that helps anyone with the same troubles! Good luck
