I have 2 other Dyson Purifier fans in my home. This particular model happens to be the latest relase and has the most features, including connected to wifi for remote control, the dyson app on my phone is a great compliment to the remote.
The fan does an average job of cooling. I have cheaper fans that match or exceed the Dyson in that respect. Then there is the purifier. It doesn’t seem to be doing a great job of cleaning the air. The app will tell me that the air quality is great even when I’m looking at air particles floating around me. If I turn on my dedicated air purifier, it will immediately light up red and turn itself on high in the same instance. I kept the fan for fairly shallow reasons: I like being able to operate it from my phone or tablet and am looking forward to adding it to my Echo. Also, it’s pretty. I had intended to move my dedicated air purifier to another room, but for now, I have two taking up even more room because I don’t trust the filtering of the Dyson. If the filtering had not been important to me, I’d have likely given it four stars.
I love this fan - it looks good and is relatively quiet compared to blade fans. It's extremely lightweight which has not been the biggest issue but I do wish the bottom was heavier because it can easily tip over if set on top of anything. This did not come with a remote but it was easy to connect to the Dyson app - I love monitoring my room quality and it tells me what setting I should change the fan to. Wish it was as powerful as a blade fan (in terms of air) but I would rather take this quiet fan that includes a filter over a normal blade fan any day. Package came excellent - wrapped very well, I was so surprised. Previous owner even added in extra items in the box, a fun surprise. Overall, I would recommend this purifier fan. Thank you!
