Our washer was leaking and after inspection I discovered the drain pump was leaking. We got the new pump, easy installation and the washer works like brand new. Excellent part and service.
Manufactured defective. Excessive clearance internally between impeller and body. Using this pump will fix your leak problem. But it will reward you with partially extracted clothes. Your machine will exhibit a clutch problem due to this pumps inability to pump sudsy water during the spin cycle.
Cheap, easy fix for my 15 year old Kenmore washer which is made by Whrilpool. Looks like made as good or better than oem. Impeller wore hole in housing, on old pump, took it off put high temp silicone on it so wife could still wash till new pump came in in three days.
