★★★★★ I bought this to use for my 12.9" iPad pro. I love my iPad and the battery lasts me a long time, but it takes a good amount of time to charge a battery that size and while I normally use the original charger, sometimes I need it to charge faster. After reading an article on a tech blog about how the one problem (for this particular blogger) with trying to use an iPad pro as a laptop full time was the charging speed, as extremely heavy use can drain the battery faster than the OEM charger can charge it! Apple's solution was to use a USB-C wall adapter from the new MacBook and a USB-C to lightning cable to charge it as USB-C can handle a lot more current than standard USB. I wanted to be able to charge my iPad faster while using it or on the go, so I bought this cable and use it with a extension cord that has a USB-C port (among others) in it. It works great and charges my iPad much faster than my standard USB charger does and was well worth the money for the peace of mind of knowing it's an original Apple cable. I don't know that the faster charging will work for anything other than an iPad pro (you may want to research that if you want to try this with an older iPad as it may damage the battery or even the charging port), but it's great for my use.

★☆☆☆☆ Cable looks good but will not fast charge my iPhone 8 Plus I have an original apple usb c to lighting cable and it works fine. This one is a knock off. Don’t buy.
